CHALLENGE
How can you use different mediums to create a unique calendar?
SOLUTION—2019 Integrated Calendar Design
My concept for making this 2019 calendar is to push the boundary between hands-on craft and the use of the software. The project incorporates photographic images and typographical elements in order to create a series of unique posters that emphasize structure, aesthetics, and implementation of macro and micro of typography. The original printed size of these posters is 24"x36". The poster is produced by cut-out letters from paper and photography of capturing the light and shadow of these letters. The overlapping shadows, the use of contrast and hierarchy create a sense of dramatic feeling. The spreading out of each month's date invite viewers to connect with the day. The hidden interactive elements add a playful character to this project.
