How can you use illustration to convey dichotomy, illuminating juxtaposing sides of a subject?
solution—Enter and Escape
These two illustrations show the dichotomy of “enter” and “escape” by depicting the symbols of a computer keyboard, human legs and hand. The illustration delineates human's conflicting emotions about the digital world. The hand coming out from the escape button represent the struggle of people trying to get out of the digital world, while the enter button with legs represent the opposite feeling. These two illustrations are drawn in a similar composition and reversed colour scheme, in order to show the conflicting feelings.
