CHALLENGE
How to design for one word in 36 days?
SOLUTION—36 DAYS OF MISS
This project explore the word “miss“ for 36 days and split 36 days into three parts — “black and white“, “materials” and “colour”. The exploration include expressing the semantics of the word, treating each word as individual letters (only the word itself) and treating the word “miss” with the overall composition. This project approaches the word “miss” in two ways. One is the idea of “to fail to do”, “absence”, “broken”, “shattered”, “incomplete”, which are represented by the deconstruction of letterforms and explorations of compositions. Another idea involves the emotional miss of a certain item, which are represented by different materials to deliver the concept that people need to cherish resources that we already have in this world.
